Esquemas de rituales y olvidos (2022) – poetry and microtonal piano in just intonation (Borders / Fronteras)

Esquemas de Rituales y Olvidos – poetry and microtonal piano in just intonation
Esquemas de Rituales y Olvidos is the first full-length release by Borders / Fronteras, a collaboration between poet Tania Márquez and composer Noah Dean Jordan. Recorded in Port Coquitlam, Canada, the album is a dialogue spoken word poetry—rooted in Mexican Spanish crossing into English—with a microtonal piano tuned in just intonation. The result is a dialogue between voice and resonance, memory and space: poems that trace rituals, disappearances, and personal geographies are held within harmonic structures that drift beyond conventional tuning. This is a work of raw intimacy, where language and frequency meet in suspended time.
