Je ne serai pas sauvée (2018) – poésie française et design sonore expérimental superposé
Je ne serai pas sauvée is a collaborative album by Noah Dean Jordan and writer Maryse Andraos that interlaces poésie française with richly textured experimental sound design. Each track—titles like Cloches de guérison, Huldufólk, and Pensées de vent—functions as a miniature, influenced by the stark, windswept landscapes of Iceland’s northern peninsula near Skagafjörður, where Noah had recently worked. The recordings blur the line between poetry and ambient music, layering subtle electronics, field samples, and improvisational gestures into intimate sonic vignettes.

Created in dialogue with two of Noah’s other projects—the 17-tone ambient sample-based album Ís and the experimental microtonal hip-hop album Noah NaboraJe ne serai pas sauvée shares production methods, sound sources, and thematic explorations of memory, loss, and hidden histories. Together these works form a kind of triptych, connected by shared sonic palettes and a commitment to revealing meaning through texture, resonance, and the spoken word’s haunting immediacy.
