Bad Canada began as a solo project for Noah Jordan after the dissolution of Redrick Sultan. The debut album “Bad Canada” featured heavily the microtonal pianos of Julian Carrillo’s Sonido 13, and was largely recorded in San Luis Potosí, México. It also began my exploration of manipulating samplings and utilizing field recordings in various contexts.
“The Great Northern” is significantly more minimalistic and bare, sometimes extending exploration of digital glitching first featured in “Berries“, and appearing now again in “Moonrise“.
